Notice of Amendment to the Dell Business Credit Agreement

This notice informs you of a change to the Dell Business Credit Agreement effective August 23, 2008. Please read this notice carefully and retain it for your records.

In order to serve our customers better, CIT Bank and Dell Financial Services have restructured our customer credit lines to divide the Total DFS Credit Line into a dedicated Dell Business Credit Limit and an amount specifically available for lease financing. This will allow DFS and CIT Bank to continue to offer financing solutions tailored to customer needs.

As a result, your Dell Business Credit Limit has been recalculated based your account usage.

Questions and Answers Concerning the Amendment:

What is a “Notice of Amendment”?
A “Notice of Amendment” is a notification that a Customer’s Dell Business Credit contract terms are changing.

Why are Dell Financial Services (DFS) and CIT Bank changing how credit lines are assigned?
DFS and CIT Bank are moving away from offering a single credit line in favor of assigning separate credit lease offers and Dell Business Credit lines. This will allow us to deliver better financing alternatives to our Customers based on their unique characteristics and circumstances.

I’ve been an excellent Customer, why was my Dell Business Credit line decreased?
First, thank you for being our Customer. We appreciate your business and look forward to helping you meet your future technology needs. This change has a similar impact on all of our Customers. In order for DFS to continue offering useful financial products to our customers, it is necessary for us to make these changes.

Can you explain the phrase, “recalculated based on your account usage,” and describe how it applies to the actions taken on my Dell Business Credit (DBC) limit?
The credit limit decision for your account was based on your purchase history. Our goal was to assign a new DBC credit limit that was in line with your prior spending while also ensuring line availability for future financing. This approach resulted in a credit limit decrease for most of our DBC Customers.

Why does Dell Financial Services (DFS) consider a Dell Business Credit (DBC) limit reduction as a financial solution that is tailored to my needs?
DFS offers many products and promotions to Customers who want to finance the purchase of Dell equipment. The DBC product is one piece of that solution. By adjusting lines, we may be able to deliver better pricing, promotions and product offerings in the future to our Customers with good DFS pay history.

Will these changes affect my credit bureau report?
Your credit bureau report will not be impacted by this change because the data we send to the credit reporting agencies is unaffected.

As a result of these changes, what should I do if I do not have enough credit to finance my future orders using my Dell Business Credit account?
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause your business. Your account will be periodically reviewed to ensure that Dell Financial Services (DFS) is consistently providing your business the best possible financing offer. If you decide to finance an order in the future, your credit standing and credit line may be evaluated at that time. In the meantime, you should use another form of payment including your existing DFS lease offer.

Can I add my Dell Business Credit (DBC) line and Lease/Loan offer together to facilitate my order?
Because we no longer offer a single credit line product, we are unable to combine your separate Lease/Loan offer and DBC line amounts into a single product.

Is there an expiration date on my new Dell Business Credit (DBC) limit? site stats
Your credit limit may change in the future based on your creditworthiness and the fulfillment of obligations specified in the DBC credit agreement.
